Sir i was watch your spring videos its really good but you are missing somethings like in web.xml you write servlet name: org.springframe.web like that where you’ll take this
in requesting mapping videos in controller which file you are addressing
means you put some action name index.jsp that same name where you are specifying in controller these kind of small things will matter a lot

Hello Yogesh,
There is absolutely no dependency of learning Struts to learn the Spring Framework…

Hi Sir,
Your tuts are awesome. I luv them.
Only two things tht if done wuld b really helpful.
1) Use maven instead of using jars directly. Maven really helps take off the issue of handling which jars to include and which not. This is often an issue wid new coders.
2) Start a tutorial series for Spring AOP.
Thanks for the awesome tutorials.

These tutorials are awesome. I was trying out your Spring MVC video with the ArrayList studentSkills and I seem to be getting the following error:
Failed to convert property value of type java.lang.String[] to required type java.util.ArrayList for property studentSkills; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: Cannot convert value of type ] to required type for property studentSkills: no matching editors or conversion strategy found
Any comments.

Hi Ankush,
Tutorials are just great. I now have solid theoretical knowledge to move on. I’m Java programmer but so far I’ve been working mostly on desktop applications. Can you recommend me some material like some “realtime” Spring MVC project based on real situations, containing also some serious java code, and thus be complete resource for practising? I’ve tried to find something liike that on net but without much access.
Thnx in advance

Jay
March 7, 2017 @ 6:25 pm
CRUD operations in Spring MVC doesn’t need hibernate.cfg.xml file instead you can declare sessionFactory bean in dispatcher-servlet.xml and then use SessionFactory object by autowiring in DAO class.
org.hibernate.dialect.*****
Note: dataSource bean should be also declared and its reference can be given to the dataSource property of sessionFactory bean.

Hey Ankush, i really appreciate your work. You really are nailing it down.
I have started working on some java projects, but one thing is stopping me to move forward and that is all the required .jar files for spring.
I downloaded the spring-framework, and the /lib folder inside it contains a lot java jar file. So I’m not able to decide how to work with that, because the file you have included in your tuts are .zar file (like the simple zar file which we use to extract the files) and in this lib folder I’m getting java zar files.
So can you please let me know how to come out of this.
